BLACK LIFE AS SUBJECT MATTER II, Is an African American art exhibit that views all aspects of the black experience as valid subject matter for creative expression. These visual voices are like griots reflecting on the joy, the pain, the sorrow, the visions, and the hopes for today and tomorrow.

The arts have the energy and power to serve as agents of change for a nation and a world in search of a better tomorrow. It is often said that each of us should be the change we want to see.
We are appreciative of the Virginia W. Kettering Foundation funding for this project and the additional support from the Dayton Power and Light Foundation.
